Acura revealed the NEXERA Vision concept at The Quail on August 14, 2026. It is a design study rather than a product, and Acura has been unusually specific about which part of it is real.

A concept with one honest promise
Most design concepts are shown with a vague suggestion that elements will influence future models. Acura has narrowed it to a single component and named the car it lands on, which is a more useful statement than the usual one and easier to hold the brand to.
The gap between the two is still large. NEXERA Vision is a low, long, two-door shape with a fastback roofline and almost no visible hardware. The RDX is a compact crossover. What crosses over is the lighting and the design vocabulary around it, not the silhouette.
Where it sits
Acura's recent design has been defined by the diamond pentagon grille and a fairly conservative execution across the range. NEXERA Vision drops the grille almost entirely in favour of a smooth face with the lighting doing the identification work, which is the same move most brands make when the range starts electrifying.
The interior shots are the more interesting half: a pared-back cabin in light materials, a rectangular yoke-style wheel, and physical controls kept where your hands land. Whether any of that survives into an RDX is unstated.
