Subaru used its Boxerfest owners' event in York, Pennsylvania on 27 September 2026 to reveal two limited-production 2027 cars, each named after the chassis code of the first car of its kind sold in the US. The WRX GD25 marks 25 years since the GD-generation WRX arrived in 2002. The BRZ ZC15 marks the BRZ's 15 years. Both use the standard engines, and both are manual only.
WRX GD25
- 350 cars, in World Rally Blue only
- Gold-painted 19-inch wheels and gold Brembo calipers
- A dry carbon-fibre swan-neck rear wing from STI, which Subaru says is the same part used on Travis Pastrana's WRX ARA25L rally car
- A flexible strut tower bar, Bridgestone Potenza S007 tyres
- Recaro seats in black Ultrasuede with red stitching, and an STI shift knob
- The standard WRX's 2.4-litre turbocharged boxer, 271 hp, with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a six-speed manual with STI short shifter
"The WRX GD25 is a tribute to our rally-ready sedan and its sports car pedigree," said William Stokes, Car Line Planning Manager.
BRZ ZC15
- 300 cars, in Ceramic White, a colour exclusive to the ZC15
- Matte bronze wheels, gold Brembo calipers, and bronze decals along the sills
- A black decklid spoiler and a flexible V-bar
- Black leather with Bordeaux red inserts, an STI aluminium and leather short shifter, and a "ZC15" anniversary plaque
- The regular BRZ's 2.4-litre boxer, 228 hp, rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual
The cars in Subaru's photographs wear tS badges, and the BRZ's console plaque reads "limited to 300 units".
When, and for how much
Reservations open in 2026. The BRZ ZC15 is due in early 2027 and the WRX GD25 in summer 2027. Subaru has not announced prices and says it will do so closer to launch.
This is the second year running Subaru has used Boxerfest for a limited pair. Last year's was the Series.Yellow WRX and BRZ.
