Alfa Romeo has shown what one owner did with their 33 Stradale. The Perla Nera, unveiled at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese on 28 September 2026, is the only one of the 33 cars with fully exposed carbon bodywork in a matte finish. The owner, described by Alfa as a passionate collector, chose the name and registered it.
What makes it different
The body is bare carbon from nose to tail, with no paint. Alfa says the fibre was laid specifically to bring out the car's shapes, symmetry and volumes rather than as a uniform weave. Reports from the launch describe a herringbone pattern along the roofline and a V-shaped motif on the bonnet. There are no badges apart from the Alfa Romeo emblems, and the wheels are black.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Alcantara with carbon details. The seats and headrests were redesigned for this car, with the driver's seat shaped to the owner in fitting sessions, and the headrest carries a "Perla Nera" inscription. The Alfa rotary selector is engraved with the owner's initials. The car comes with a black Alcantara luggage set bearing a numbered badge.
Underneath, Alfa lists the standard 33 Stradale drivetrain. The car was built by Bottega Alfa Romeo, the coachbuilding arm the 33 was the first project for. Our 33 Stradale page has the figures.
Where to see it
It stays on display at the Museo Alfa Romeo in Arese until 18 October, then goes to its owner. All 33 cars are spoken for, so a museum visit is as close as most people will get to the most unusual of them.
