Bentley has revealed the Torcal, and after two months of teasers the numbers are finally on the table. It is Bentley's first fully electric car, its fourth model line after the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga, and it was shown in London on September 23, 2026. It is designed, engineered and built in Crewe.
The headline figure is the torque. The Torcal S makes 1,350 Nm with launch control active, which Bentley says is the most any of its cars has ever produced. That includes every W12 it ever built.
Two versions
| Torcal | Torcal S | |
|---|---|---|
| Power | 821 PS | 888 PS |
| Torque | 1,194 Nm | 1,350 Nm (launch control) |
| 0-100 km/h | 3.4 s | 2.9 s |
| Top speed | 250 km/h | 260 km/h |
| Standard wheels | 21-inch | 22-inch, 10 twin spokes |
| UK price | £173,300 | £199,300 |
Both use two permanent magnet motors. The front axle has an open differential; the rear has a locking differential with a multi-plate clutch on each output shaft.
The S is not only a power bump. It gets black brightwork and mirror caps, dark rear lamps, a rear diffuser, sports sills, strakes in the front bumper, red calipers, black winged badges and a Piano Black veneer where the standard car has open-pore walnut.
Battery and charging
The pack is 192 lithium-ion pouch cells in series, on an 800-volt architecture, with 113 kWh of usable capacity. Bentley quotes up to 600 km (375 miles) WLTP without saying which version that belongs to, and covers the battery for 10 years or 100,000 miles.
Peak DC charging is 400 kW. Bentley's own release gives the 10 to 80 percent time as 16 minutes in one paragraph and just under 20 minutes in another, so treat the lower number with care until the full technical data is published. Both passages agree on roughly 100 miles (161 km) added in seven minutes.
Chassis
This is where the Torcal breaks from the rest of the range. It is the first Bentley with fully active suspension, which lets it do without anti-roll bars altogether, paired with two-valve adaptive dampers. All-wheel steering is standard, with up to five degrees at the rear, and the turning circle is 11.1 metres.
Iron brakes are standard at 420 mm front and 370 mm rear. The optional carbon silicon carbide set grows to 440 mm and 410 mm.
Size
Reported dimensions from Bentley's specification sheet put it at 5,008 mm long, 2,025 mm wide and 1,677 mm tall, on a 3,023 mm wheelbase. Against a standard Bentayga, that is 133 mm shorter and 65 mm lower, with 28 mm more between the axles. The boot holds 460 litres, and there is a 90-litre front trunk.
Inside
Bentley calls the upholstery option the world's first 100 percent wool automotive fabric, a certified merino. The rest of the cabin is closer to what Crewe already does: 15 shades of leather, walnut veneers (one of them built from up to 1,000 layers), curved OLED displays, an augmented reality head-up display, and a new switchable "Frosted Diamond" glass roof.
The rear bench seats three and folds electrically, a first for Bentley. The front seats adjust 16 ways with heating, ventilation and massage as standard. Audio starts at 620 watts through 16 speakers; the optional Naim system has 28 speakers, 1,780 watts and seat shakers.
The drive sound was built from recordings of real instruments, including drums, viola and bass guitar, and can be switched off. The illuminated diamond grille teased in July made production; our teaser story has the background on it.
What Bentley has not said
No delivery date, no US or European pricing, no weight for either version, and no range figure split by version. The single kerb weight in circulation, 2,795 kg, comes without a version attached, so we have left it off our spec pages until Bentley publishes the full sheet.
