Lamborghini has revealed the Revuelto SV, the hardest version of its V12 plug-in hybrid flagship and, by the company's own claim, the most powerful and fastest-accelerating production car it has built. It broke cover at The Quail during Monterey Car Week.
SV has meant something specific at Sant'Agata since the Miura wore it: more power, less compromise, and a shorter production run. This one honours all three.

The aero is the real change
Fifty extra horsepower does not transform a car that already had 1,001. The bodywork does. A new front splitter, a reworked underbody and a double-wing rear structure lift total downforce by 80 percent, and that is the figure worth carrying away from the reveal.
The dampers are manually adjustable, in the manner of a GT3 car rather than a road car with a drive-mode button, and Lamborghini quotes roughly 10 percent more lateral grip. The CCM-R Plus discs are there for repeated heavy braking and heat rejection, which only matters if the car is being used the way the aero implies.
Read together, those three changes describe a car built for a circuit rather than a boulevard. Whether 1,963 buyers use it that way is a different question.
The number that decides who this is for
1,963 cars sounds generous next to a 29-unit Fenomeno. It is not, because the allocation is closed to existing customers and collectors. By the time the covers came off in California, the list was settled.
That is worth stating plainly rather than dressing up as a launch. This is not a car anyone reading about it can go and order. It is a reward for a relationship already in place, which has been the shape of the halo market for a decade and is now simply the default.
What is still missing
Lamborghini has not published a torque figure. The press write-ups quote 1,051 lb-ft of system torque, which is suspiciously the same number as the horsepower and would be close to double the standard Revuelto's 793 Nm, so we have left the field empty on our Revuelto page rather than repeat it. Battery capacity and price are also unpublished at the time of writing.
Where it sits
The Revuelto makes 1,001 hp and runs to 350 km/h. The SV makes 1,050 hp and runs to 348, which is the aero trading a few km/h of terminal speed for downforce, exactly as it should. Above both sits the Fenomeno, a 29-car Few-Off with more V12 and a different brief entirely.
