The story
Hennessey Performance has chased top-speed records and four-digit horsepower since John Hennessey founded it in 1991. From Sealy, Texas, it turns American muscle and trucks into monsters, but it is best known for its own hypercars: the Venom GT, which ran to 270 mph, and the Venom F5, built around a bespoke twin-turbo V8. John Hennessey founded Hennessey Performance in Texas in 1991. He built the company chasing top-speed records, first by tuning sports cars and later by building his own hypercars, the Venom GT and Venom F5. He remains the owner and CEO.
