Porsche has posted another teaser for the Mission S, and this one is about the instruments rather than the bodywork. The 18-second clip went up on Porsche's Instagram on 9 October 2026 with the caption "Mission S. Everything starts with the driver."
What the teaser shows
The clip stays on the instrument cluster. It shows:
- A round rev counter numbered 0 to 8, with a red zone at the top of the scale and a red needle.
- "Mission S" written on the dial in script.
- A "Normal" label under the rev counter, and a second round dial to its left with speed markings.
- A change of lighting from white to red partway through.
Porsche has not said whether the dials are physical or a screen, and it has not named the drive modes or said what the 8 stands for. Some outlets read the 8 as a hint at an eight-cylinder engine. That is speculation: Porsche has said nothing about the powertrain.
Porsche's Mission S preview page uses the same tone. It calls the car "our tribute to the sports car. And to the vision of Ferry Porsche", describes it as "timeless, minimalist and focused", and says "our most important interface: the driver." The pictures on that page show only the crest, a body detail and a wheel.
What Porsche has confirmed
Very little, on purpose. When it presented its Sportwagenschmiede '35 strategy on 7 October, Porsche said it is developing a mid-engined super sports car platform for a model line that sits above the 911, and that it will give a preview of that platform on 15 October.
Porsche has not published power, an engine type, weight, a price or a production date. We will cover the Mission S properly when Porsche shows it on 15 October.
