Brabus
The definitive Mercedes-AMG tuning house, a manufacturer in its own right.

The story
Brabus has been making Mercedes models faster and more heavily built than the factory ever intended since 1977. It is registered as a manufacturer in its own right, and the Bottrop firm builds complete engines, including the twin-turbo V8s and V12s behind a long list of 'world's fastest' records, along with full interiors, body kits and forged wheels. More recently it has moved beyond Mercedes to the Bentley Continental, Porsche 911 and Lamborghini Urus, and grown a whole lifestyle brand around the badge. If AMG is the factory hot line, Brabus is what sits above it.
The founder

Bodo Buschmann founded Brabus in 1977 and grew it into the world's largest independent Mercedes tuner, eventually recognised as a manufacturer in its own right. He ran the company until his death in 2018. His son Constantin Buschmann now leads it as CEO.
